Tin Man Adventures
Tin Man adventure trips combine safe, relationally connecting group work with the challenge of an outdoor adventure including mountaineering and backpacking. “Getting away from it all” removes life distractions and gives us the space to experience our hearts along with the hearts of those who are with us.
There is no space like God’s wild creation, in the shadow of the mountain or the top of an ice field where we are reminded that God is God and we are His. This space is like no other at holding who we are as we face ourselves. These trips are geared toward those who want to challenge themselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually as we spend 5 days on a journey together on the trail.
These trips are facilitated by Tin Man coaches with the help of professional outdoor guides (Peak 7 Adventures) who keep the trips safe but still exciting. Food and all necessary outdoor gear are provided and included in the cost. Transportation from Seatac Airport is also provided.

Women:
“The Tin Man Women’s Backpacking experience I was on I will never forget. From the beautiful views, the women connection, the heart talks, the amazing guides, to the hike itself, it was worth every moment. It gave space for me to be myself. I was challenged physically and mentally but there was always someone on this trip rooting for me to succeed. I didn’t want to say goodbye to the amazing women I met and bonded with. This trip helped me see my own worth and value. I came away from this trip stronger and glad to be me. I look forward to the next Tim Man Adventure I get to be a part of.”

“I am so glad my first backpacking experience was with Tin Man Ministries. I had fear about so many things, but the guides and other women on the trip helped ease my anxieties with their wisdom, kindness, and authenticity. I expected the trail to be beautiful, but I hadn’t anticipated how delightful the people I’d be journeying with would be. Having this experience alongside others who are seeking depth and meaning in life was a true gift that is hard to find in everyday life.”

“Spending several days with a group of women seemed like my own personal hell when I first signed up, yet my heart still feels love from those women who showed up with who they were and went on an epic adventure with me! I will never forget some of the words that were spoken to me at the end of the hike as we took turns affirming one another. Old wounds were healed on that trip. I have chapters of my life that are pre-hike and are coated with longing to have toxic messages be told they are a lie, and my post-hike chapters, where I carry new messages about my tremendous value and glory spoken to me by other women. I can’t wait to go on another adventurous hike with Amy and Tin Man Ministries!”

men:
“I have been on two Tin Man Adventure trips. I was very excited for both trips and neither disappointed. The first trip was one of the most physically and mentally demanding experiences of my life, and it made the heart work even more impactful. The second trip was amazing from a nature and beauty perspective. Our guides were excellent both times and participated in the heart work. I would highly recommend the Tin Man adventures trip to anyone who wants a spiritually and physically demanding experience to deepen their connection to their own hearts and share that with other like-minded people.”

“Being on the mountain was something I don’t think I could have done alone. The closeness I shared with the men who were with me is what I remember feeling the most. I am so grateful that I leaned into challenging myself to do something with others I never dreamed of doing. No words can quite capture the beauty and stillness of being on the mountain. Coming home and saying goodbye was the hardest part.”
