Megan Overmyer
Coach
Megan became involved in the world of “recovery 12 years ago after her husband sought help for his addiction. Through the journey with her husband, the Lord opened her eyes to issues she needed to face in her own life. With the help of God and others, Megan found progressive freedom over compulsive behaviors and lie-based beliefs that contributed to unhealthy choices.
Fueled by the growth in her own life, Megan started helping other women find the same freedom in their own lives. She helped start the Recovery program at her church 10 years ago, utilizing tools like The Voice of the Heart Bible Study authored by Jeff Schulte and Phil Herndon, a Bible Study/workbook that guides participants through a Biblically based journey from their head to their heart.
Megan walks those she guides into a deeper walk of faith, especially when life does not offer us the answers we want or think we need. We were not made to walk alone, and the real change we desire only happens in the context of intimate/vulnerable relationships. From the years of working in the recovery community, Megan is passionate about helping women find freedom through faith from their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Megan, a widow after 21 years of marriage, lives with her four sons in Southwest Florida. They enjoy being together as a family and long walks on the beach.
