Roy Roper

Coach

Roy Roper is a NARM-informed professional Tin Man coach. His passion is to foster freedom from addiction, compulsion, and codependency—transforming toxic cycles of shame & fear into full-hearted living—and helping individuals & relationships heal through grace-saturated connection with their own stories, feelings, and secure attachments.

Roy Roper, a husband and father of four, graduated with a BFA from WashU, and started wideyedesign a decade into his 30-year career as a graphic designer. When he finally hit a wall in his efforts to keep life and marriage working, he started a journey into multiple 12-step recovery programs (SA, Al-Anon, & ACA in particular) that not only saved their marriage, but led to a spiritual renewal well beyond mere sobriety.

Through his healing journey, Roy continued to integrate recovery principles and emotional connectedness with his church community. Early into serving as an elder in his church, he helped establish a recovery ministry at his church in Nashville, where he has both led groups and written curriculum. He then began doing premarital counseling as a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, and now feels at home with Tin Man, working as a professional recovery and relationship coach (in conjunction with Nashville’s Center for Relational Healing).
